Senior Game Analyst

AI overview

Join a growing analytics team at Tactile Games, where you'll leverage data to drive decisions and enhance player experiences in innovative casual puzzle games.

It’s an exciting time to join Tactile. We're a diverse team of storytellers, puzzle enthusiasts, and casual mobile game creators. Our story began in 2008 in the heart of beautiful Copenhagen, and since then, we have experienced continuous growth, establishing ourselves as one of the largest gaming companies in Denmark. In more recent years, we have been scaling fast, in large part thanks to the success of a little game called Lily’s Garden. Now we’re on a mission to solidify our position as one of the leaders in creating out-of-the-ordinary casual puzzle games.

With more than 350 talented individuals, we are a mix of over 50 nationalities and 43% women. We truly appreciate the richness of different experiences and perspectives that Tactilers bring to the game. This is why we foster a lean organisational culture, in which each individual is encouraged to take responsibility, be open, and grow in their own way. We pride ourselves on cultivating a studio environment that avoids crunch, fosters your skills regardless of your discipline, and provides a space for you to be creative alongside other passionate and invested storytellers.

🚀 Your role & impact:

We are currently expanding our Analytics team and are seeking a Senior Game Analyst to support our Product and LiveOps functions.

Our analysts are embedded directly within our game teams, ensuring each team has dedicated experts who understand the intricacies of data and their unique needs. Your role will be crucial in validating decisions with data, offering valuable insights to shape product roadmaps, and fostering a culture of backing up decisions with data. This means you will have a tangible impact on the game and contribute to enhancing our players’ experience.

So, if you are super passionate about games or mobile tech and have data deeply embedded in your DNA, then you might be our missing piece! 🧩

📍 This role is based in our Copenhagen office, as we genuinely believe that when talented people work closely together, amazing things happen! We offer full relocation support and are open to candidates across Europe who are willing to relocate.

Here’s what you'll do on the day-to-day:

  • Analyse the performance of the game to help the Product/LiveOps team understand player behaviour, what to improve in the game, and what the estimated impact of each improvement is
  • Create compelling dashboards that support decision-making and monitor key metrics of the game
  • Lead the design and analysis of A/B tests and run experiments with the Product and LiveOps team, and turn results into clear recommendations
  • Partner with game designers and product specialists to balance game features using data
  • Partner with developers to define tracking requirements and ensure high-quality event-based data
  • Present insights to stakeholders and influence product roadmap and LiveOps decisions by proposing clear courses of action
  • Collaborate with the rest of the game analysts on the team and drive shared approaches to solving problems

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience as an analyst in mobile games or free-to-play products
  • Proven experience supporting live games with continuous LiveOps, feature releases, and experimentation
  • Strong understanding of player behaviour across the full lifecycle, including retention, progression, engagement, and monetisation
  • Demonstrated ownership of game KPIs and the ability to influence product or LiveOps decisions through data
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large, event-based datasets
  • Strong experience designing, analysing, and interpreting A/B tests and long-running experiments
  • Solid applied statistics knowledge, including hypothesis testing, sampling, and experiment design
  • Experience translating complex analyses into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker or Tableau, with a focus on decision-making rather than reporting
  • Working knowledge of Python or R for analysis, experimentation, or automation
