About this role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our Ads team within the Discovery pillar. In this role, you will be a critical cross-functional team member building the platforms and tools that power Faire’s Ads ecosystem. You’ll play a key role in shaping how advertising is delivered, optimized, and measured at Faire.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, engineering managers, and other stakeholders to significantly contribute to the success of Faire's business and engineering platform.
  • Product Ownership: Share ownership of our product, contributing to ongoing improvements that enhance the customer experience.
  • Technical Leadership: Help define the team's technical direction and roadmap, influencing the overall strategic direction of our engineering efforts.
  • Technical Improvements: Identify, prioritize, and drive technical improvements through multi-month projects that enhance the platform's performance and scalability.
  • Framework Development: Contribute to setting the technical direction of our server-driven UI framework. Design and execute engineering solutions that align with framework goals, ensuring scalability and broad adoption.
  • Backend Development: Unblock self by contributing to backend development, specially presentation layer, of server-driven UI functionalities and applications.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize horizontal frameworks for peak performance and scalability. Work with state-of-the-art technologies such as Next.js, applying in-depth knowledge of frontend and backend performance techniques.
  • AI-Forward Development: Use AI tooling as a core part of how you deliver impact, consistently embedding AI best practices into your daily workflow.
  • Mentorship: Mentor fellow developers by sharing industry best practices and fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.

Qualifications:

Must-haves

  • 5+ years of full-time experience 
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and frameworks like React, with strong frontend expertise, whether through deep hands-on work, leading a small group of frontend engineers, or driving a complex frontend project with multiple stakeholder coordination.
  • Able to thrive in a high-ambiguity, high-pace product environment, a strong communicator who works effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Strong product judgment and customer empathy, you think about what to build, not just how
  • Has integrated AI tools into your regular engineering workflow; we want to see that AI has become part of how you work, not just something you've tried.

Preferred

  • Background in ad tech (especially ads manager or campaign management tools) or customer-facing analytics/reporting/measurement systems.
  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines.

Salary range:

Canada: the pay range for this role is $156,000 - $214,500 per year. 

This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.
