Senior, Full Stack Engineering - C1 English - Hybrid

We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer who ships outcomes and multiplies the people around them. You are a hands-on individual contributor who delivers complex projects while simultaneously raising the bar for your team’s engineering quality, velocity, and technical decision-making. You thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and create clarity where little exists—decomposing large problems into well-scoped workstreams, aligning engineering effort with product priorities, and ensuring your team delivers on time with quality.

You partner closely with product managers on timeline, prioritization, and roadmap trade-offs, and you connect product strategy to engineering execution so the team always understands the “why” behind the work. You treat API interfaces as core product surfaces, champion observability and reliability as first-class concerns, and actively use AI to accelerate how you and your team build.

• A strong system designer. You bring demonstrated system design skills—architecting distributed systems, databases, data pipelines, and event-driven architectures that support large-scale, high-reliability production workloads.
• AI-native. You are a strong AI adopter who uses Claude and similar tools daily for boilerplate, documentation, tests, and first drafts—but rely on your own expertise for architecture decisions, code review judgment, and debugging logic. You own every line you commit; AI-generated code must be reviewed, understood, and defensible by you. You champion responsible AI adoption across your team and model the standard.
• A team leader who delivers. You lead a small team of engineers to deliver complex projects on time with quality. You set technical direction, run design reviews, and hold the team accountable to a high engineering bar.
• A cross-functional connector. You partner closely with product, research, design, infrastructure, and forward-deployed engineering teams to bring new capabilities into production. You communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a tech lead or senior technical leadership capacity.

• Proficient in PHP/Laravel (highly preferred) or another server-side language such as Python/Django, Java/Spring Boot, or Go. Experience with Vue.js, React, or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to architect distributed systems, databases, data pipelines, and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or workflow engines such as Netflix Conductor, Temporal, or Camunda) at production scale.
• Track record of designing RESTful APIs with care and intentionality—treating API interfaces as core product surfaces and driving a high-quality developer experience.
• Strong working knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL; ability to choose between SQL and NoSQL based on access patterns, consistency, and scalability needs.
• Hands-on with ELK, New Relic, Datadog, or similar; proven ability to instrument systems, identify bottlenecks, and resolve production incidents. You build secure, reliable systems that meet enterprise and developer use cases.
• Active, daily use of AI-powered development tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
• Track record of leading complex technical initiatives and driving architecture across teams or critical product areas.
• Systems thinking and first-principles thinking applied to real-world product development at scale.
• Experience working closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to align on priorities, timelines, and trade-offs. Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Comfortable with structured status updates (Done/Doing/Blocked) and committed to surfacing blockers early and transparently.
• Demonstrated ability to improve engineering velocity by building internal tooling, platform abstractions, and systems that increase leverage across the broader organization.
• Proven ability to scope work, define milestones, identify risks early, and drive a team to ship complex projects on time. Experience managing timelines across parallel workstreams and making informed trade-offs when priorities shift.
• Experience sizing team capacity against project demands, allocating engineers to workstreams based on skills and growth opportunities, and escalating staffing gaps before they become delivery risks.
• You know what a high-performing engineering team looks like and actively build toward that standard. You care deeply about team efficiency, continuously identify friction in workflows and processes, and drive optimization so the team can do its best work.
• Demonstrated ability to own problems end-to-end and deliver in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments.
