Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to join our UI Center of Excellence (CoE). In this strategic role, you will act as a core member of the governing nucleus responsible for the architecture, development, and standardization of our user interface ecosystem.

You will play a pivotal role in transitioning our development culture from a fragmented approach to a "Code-Based System" by building and maintaining the Unified Reltio Design System (URDS) - our single source of truth for all product teams. Beyond frontend components, you will develop shared NodeJS libraries and services that power our internal tooling and support our next-generation AI-driven (Agentic) UI platform.

This is a unique opportunity to work as an "Experience Engineer," bridging the gap between design and engineering, while implementing cutting-edge automation for visual regression, interaction testing, and accessibility compliance

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Design System & Component Architecture
  • Architect and develop high-performance, reusable React components for the Unified Reltio Design System (URDS), ensuring they serve as the "single source of truth" for the UI Guild.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to implement a "spec-driven development" workflow, ensuring 1-to-1 parity between Figma designs and code.
  • Build complex "Tier 2" business components (e.g., data tables, trees) that handle state management and API integrations.
  1. Full-Stack Development (NodeJS & Tooling)
  • Develop and maintain shared NodeJS libraries and microservices that support UI infrastructure, CLI tools for the UI Guild, and backend-for-frontend (BFF) layers.
  • Contribute to the "AI-Driven & New Product Mode" stream by building dynamic, conversational UI components and the supporting backend logic for our Agentic UI Platform.
  • Manage the publishing and versioning of private npm packages to ensure seamless distribution of the design system to product teams.
  1. Automated Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Implement robust Visual Regression Testing (VRT) pipelines using Chromatic to detect unintended visual changes and manage UI baselines.
  • Develop automated Interaction Tests using Storybook play functions and Playwright to simulate user behaviors (clicks, typing, focus) and verify component functionality in isolation.
  • Ensure full compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, EAA) by integrating automated accessibility scanning (Axe) into the CI/CD pipeline to catch violations at the component level.
  1. CI/CD & Infrastructure
  • Configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or CircleCI) to automate the testing workflow, including building Storybook, running tests in parallel, and publishing to Chromatic.
  • Implement dependency caching strategies to optimize build times for the design system and related libraries.
  1. Governance & Mentorship
  • Act as a key resource for the UI Guild (the community of UI developers), providing code reviews, architectural guidance, and promoting best practices.
  • Drive the adoption of the URDS across Core MDM and Console applications, assisting teams in migrating legacy interfaces to the new system

Skills You Must Have:

  • Core Frontend: Expert proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS/Sass architectures.
  • Design System Tooling: Deep experience with Storybook for component isolation, documentation, and testing.
  • Backend/Full-Stack: Strong proficiency in NodeJS for building CLI tools, scripts, and backend services.
  • Visual & Interaction Testing: Hands-on experience with Chromatic for visual regression and Playwright (or Cypress) for functional testing.
  • CI/CD Automation: Experience configuring pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) to automate linting, testing, and deployment.
  • Package Management: Experience managing and publishing npm packages in a monorepo or private registry environment.
  • Accessibility (a11y): Solid understanding of WCAG principles and experience using automated tools (like Axe) to ensure compliance with standards like the European Accessibility Act (EAA)

Skills That Are Nice to Have:

  • AI/LLM Integration: Experience building UI for AI agents, chat interfaces, or using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor AI) to accelerate development.
  • Figma Integration: Familiarity with Figma APIs or plugins to streamline the handoff between design and code.
  • Monorepo Architecture: Experience managing codebases with tools like Nx, Turborepo, or Lerna.
  • Performance Optimization: Knowledge of bundle size analysis and rendering optimization for large-scale component libraries
