We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a strong backend focus to join a small, high-performing product team. In this role, you will take ownership of features end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions, and help scale a data-driven platform focused on carrier scoring and logistics intelligence. You will work daily across backend services and frontend experiences, building reliable microservices, data pipelines, and user-facing applications. This is a hands-on senior role requiring technical leadership, autonomy, and a strong product mindset.
Position Title: Senior Fullstack Engineer
Location: Remote - LATAM
What you will be doing:
- Own and deliver features end-to-end, from design through production, writing high-quality code across backend and frontend.
- Design, build, and maintain decoupled microservices using Node.js/TypeScript and Python.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for carrier scoring by integrating multiple external data sources.
- Develop user-facing experiences such as dashboards, reports, and carrier profiles using React, Remix, and Vite.
- Design and maintain secure, performant, and well-documented REST APIs.
- Architect and implement data storage solutions using SQL Server and MongoDB.
- Contribute to system architecture as the platform evolves, including event-driven workflows using Kafka and Celery
- Collaborate closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and architectural improvements.
- Take ownership of the product life cycle, from ideation to deployment and ongoing optimization.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 5+ years of professional fullstack development experience, with a strong backend emphasis.
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript with Node.js across the stack.
- Proficiency with Python.
- Solid experience using Python for backend services and data processing pipelines.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and refactoring microservices architectures.
- Proven expertise with SQL and No SQL databases.
- Deep understanding of modern frontend development with React, SST, (Remix), and TailwindCSS.
- Experience building systems using event-driven architectures (SQS, Celery).
- Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, make technical decisions, and drive features to completion.
- Comfortable contributing to high-level architectural discussions and long-term platform strategy.
Nice to have:
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or carrier-scoring platforms.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment practices.
- Working knowledge of Kafka and rabbitQ.
