The Mission of the Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Build intuitive web interfaces that turn satellite tasking into transparent, reliable customer experiences.

In this role, you will join ICEYE’s engineering domain responsible for customer-facing systems and interfaces (APIs and Web UIs). You contribute to the development of our external and internal facing Web UIs — the interfaces that enable tasking our satellite fleet.

You’ll work closely with product managers, UX designers and other engineers to design, build, operate and evolve our Web UIs. You’ll have a chance to directly interact with our users and learn about their needs and wishes. Our UIs cover the whole lifecycle of planning an imaging task for a satellite on a map to a successful product delivery to the customer. The process of tasking to delivery has to be understandable, monitorable and transparent.

Our technology stack includes React, TypeScript, and CSS, supported by a strong ecosystem of APIs and modern frontend tooling. We value automated testing, continuous delivery, and modern code practices, including the utilization of AI tools such as Cursor and Devin.

In this role you have the opportunity to work in a diverse and experienced team of engineers, collaborate across team and engineering domain boundaries, and grow your technical and problem-solving skills in a fast-moving high-reliability environment.

We value curiosity, teamwork, and craftsmanship — and we follow agile principles to incrementally deliver robust and maintainable software.

Who We Are

ICEYE delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to governments and allied nations. This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE’s world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy – day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits.

As a trusted partner for defense, intelligence, security, and maritime domain awareness, ICEYE’s near real-time data creates a tactical advantage for mission-critical operations. Designed for dual use, the platform also serves civil protection and commercial users for natural-catastrophe intelligence, insurance, maritime monitoring (including oil-spill detection), and finance, contributing to global security and community resilience.

ICEYE operates internationally with offices in Finland, Poland, Spain, Japan, the UAE, Greece, and the US. The company has more than 900 employees, inspired by the shared vision of improving life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation.
