Senior Frontend Engineer (gn)

What will you do

• Take a leading role in building the frontend of our new data platform from scratch (0→1), shaping how non-technical users interact with complex data workflows

• Own the frontend architecture and user experience of the platform, making pragmatic decisions that balance speed and long-term scalability

• Build and ship high-quality, production-ready features using React and TypeScript

• Rapidly prototype, iterate, and improve complex user flows for data onboarding and pipeline configuration

• Actively challenge product and design decisions, taking ownership of making the product intuitive and usable

• Define and evolve frontend patterns, component architecture, and state management approaches

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend to turn high-level problems into working solutions

• Drive code quality through hands-on development, code reviews, and pairing

• Spend a significant portion of your time writing production code and building core features yourself

• Guide and support other frontend engineers through hands-on collaboration and technical leadership

Requirements

What are we looking for?

• 6+ years of experience in modern frontend development with React and TypeScript

• Strong experience building complex, interactive UIs and defining frontend architecture

• Proven ability to build products from scratch (0→1) or work in highly iterative environments

• Strong product mindset — you think about usability, user flows, and real-world usage, not just implementation

• Comfortable working with ambiguity and making decisions without perfect specs

• Experience working closely with Product and Design, contributing to better solutions

• Ability to take ownership and drive features from idea to production

• Excellent English communication skills, able to work closely with our Germany-/Thailand-based engineering teams

• Berlin-based (or willing to relocate)

Nice-to-have

• Experience with data-heavy or workflow-driven UIs (ETL, pipelines, dashboards, internal tools)

• Familiarity with SDK-based or API-driven products

• Experience with performance optimization and complex state management

• Familiarity with ISO 27001-aligned engineering practices

• Knowledge of AWS and cloud-native concepts (useful when integrating with backend teams)

• Experience in agentic coding workflows, AI-powered development tooling, or advanced dev tooling
