About the Role
As our Senior Front End Engineer, you will be a key contributor on CSC Generation's shared services engineering team, building the frontend experiences that power our portfolio of omnichannel retail brands. This role exists because we are accelerating the development of Genesis — our unified operating platform — and need engineers who can ship fast, write clean code, and raise the bar on quality across a complex, multi-brand environment.
You will partner closely with product, design, and backend engineering to deliver React- and TypeScript-based web applications at scale, integrating AI-driven tooling into your workflow as a force multiplier. At six months, success looks like owning significant feature areas end-to-end, having shipped measurable improvements to performance or user experience, and actively leveling up the engineers around you through code review and mentorship.
This is a lean team. You will own a lot, move fast, and make decisions with full end-to-end responsibility.
What You'll do
Design and develop well-tested, scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
Explore and integrate AI development tools to streamline workflows and improve user engagement across brand properties.
Deliver new features and optimize existing experiences in an agile environment, working at speed and scale across multiple brands.
Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.
Write and maintain unit tests and automated test suites to ensure code quality and long-term reliability.
Stay current on frontend engineering trends, design patterns, and AI-driven development tooling and bring relevant insights back to the team.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience building complex, high-performing web applications
Deep expertise in React and JavaScript ES6/TypeScript
Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and security best practices
Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
UX/UI design sensibilities and experience collaborating closely with product designers
Functional programming experience
Hands-on exposure to AI development tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar
