Senior Front End Engineer

CSC Generation is the AI-native holding company re-engineering omnichannel retail. With $1B+ in revenue across 13 brands, our portfolio includes Sur La Table, Backcountry, One Kings Lane, and others that serve as real-world innovation labs.   Reports to: CTO Location: Costa Rica (Remote) About the Role What You'll do

Design and develop well-tested, scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.

Explore and integrate AI development tools to streamline workflows and improve user engagement across brand properties.

Deliver new features and optimize existing experiences in an agile environment, working at speed and scale across multiple brands.

Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

Write and maintain unit tests and automated test suites to ensure code quality and long-term reliability.

Stay current on frontend engineering trends, design patterns, and AI-driven development tooling and bring relevant insights back to the team.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience building complex, high-performing web applications

Deep expertise in React and JavaScript ES6/TypeScript

Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and security best practices

Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and testable code

Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills

Excellent collaboration and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

UX/UI design sensibilities and experience collaborating closely with product designers

Functional programming experience

Hands-on exposure to AI development tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar

2. Technical Challenge: A short take-home or live exercise focused on frontend problem-solving and AI tooling so we can understand how you approach execution.
3. Deep-Dive Interviews: Structured conversations with engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders covering your technical expertise, product mindset, and collaboration style.
4. In-Person / Final Interview: A final round with senior leadership to assess fit, scope, and long-term opportunity.
5. Reference Checks: Conducted in parallel with the final stages where possible.
