About the Role

Our client is hiring a Senior Founding Mobile Engineer to own and build their mobile product from the ground up. This is a true 0 → 1 role with real scale already in motion. You’ll define the mobile architecture, ship patient-facing features, and set the foundation for a world-class mobile engineering team.

This role is ideal for someone who has built and scaled consumer mobile apps, thrives with ownership, and wants to shape the technical direction of a mission-driven company at a pivotal growth stage.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of mobile development experience for consumer apps

  • Proven experience taking a mobile app from zero to one at a startup

  • Experience scaling a consumer app to 10,000+ users

  • Expert-level React Native + TypeScript

  • Experience with native iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin)

  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture and infrastructure

  • Experience at a high-growth consumer tech company

  • Ability to work independently with high ownership and accountability

  • No visa sponsorship required (Canada/Mexico candidates may be considered case-by-case)

Nice to Have

  • Prior founding-engineer or early-stage startup experience

  • Experience working in regulated environments (healthcare, fintech, etc.)

  • Interest in AI-powered consumer products

What We’re Not Looking For

  • Candidates with only a pure Android or iOS background (no cross-platform experience)

  • Background limited to large, slow-moving enterprise companies

  • Engineers who prefer narrow scopes over ownership
