Our client is hiring a Senior Founding Mobile Engineer to own and build their mobile product from the ground up. This is a true 0 → 1 role with real scale already in motion. You’ll define the mobile architecture, ship patient-facing features, and set the foundation for a world-class mobile engineering team.
This role is ideal for someone who has built and scaled consumer mobile apps, thrives with ownership, and wants to shape the technical direction of a mission-driven company at a pivotal growth stage.
5+ years of mobile development experience for consumer apps
Proven experience taking a mobile app from zero to one at a startup
Experience scaling a consumer app to 10,000+ users
Expert-level React Native + TypeScript
Experience with native iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin)
Strong understanding of mobile architecture and infrastructure
Experience at a high-growth consumer tech company
Ability to work independently with high ownership and accountability
No visa sponsorship required (Canada/Mexico candidates may be considered case-by-case)
Prior founding-engineer or early-stage startup experience
Experience working in regulated environments (healthcare, fintech, etc.)
Interest in AI-powered consumer products
Candidates with only a pure Android or iOS background (no cross-platform experience)
Background limited to large, slow-moving enterprise companies
Engineers who prefer narrow scopes over ownership
