Senior Food Technologist (Bilingual in Mandarin, 需肉类蛋白加工和调味经验)
TLDR
Collaborate with Sales & Marketing and Operations teams to develop new products and enhance quality while implementing innovative solutions in frozen food manufacturing.
Participate in brainstorming with Sales & Marketing team to support development initiatives, including reformulation and new product development
Team up with Director of Operations to make sample products in the test kitchen
Arrange sample tasting for new and existing products on a regular basis. Collect feedback and suggestions for further modification if needed
Test out raw materials and ingredients and provide the buyer with instant feedback
Work with the R&D Manager to prepare product specifications, formulas, technical reports and test run plans
Support QA to ensure product and packaging in accordance to design quality and to conduct troubleshooting on raw materials, final product and process if needed.
Support Production to ensure production procedures meet the required technical requirements
Keep update of market developments and industry trends to lead the industry
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Engineering and other related fields is required
Candidates with culinary/chef experience are strongly encouraged to apply
3-5 years experience in R&D environment preferably in the USDA frozen food manufacturing industry. Previous recipe renovation and/or development experience preferred
Familiar with the techniques of making Chinese pastries including but not limited to dim sum, dumplings, buns, potstickers, and spring rolls
Broad understanding of raw materials and ingredients in the local market
Knowledge of food and safety regulations including USDA, FDA, CFR, etc.
Ability to work independently, in a team, and work under pressure
