As a Senior Financial Controller, you will take full ownership of GRESB’s financial operations and reporting across Dutch and international entities. You’ll oversee all core accounting processes — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency — while driving improvements in automation, controls, and reporting. This role combines hands-on accounting execution with leadership in process optimization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and optimize monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure speed, accuracy, and reliability in close collaboration with external accountants
  • Lead audit and tax processes, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities
  • Lead financial systems upgrades or integrations, ensuring data integrity and alignment with business needs
  • Develop and enforce global processes and financial policies that enable sustainable growth and audit readiness
  • Partner with FP&A and operations to connect financial insights with strategic and operational decisions
  • Foster financial acumen across the organization by educating teams on key finance principles and performance drivers
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to build a lean, tech-enabled, and high-performing finance function

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial control, accounting, or audit
  • Tech-savvy and data-driven, with a passion for improving systems, automating workflows with experience in ERP/accounting systems (preferably Exact)
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive, structured, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
