As we gear up for our next growth phase, We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Controller to join our team and help fortify our mission.


About the position 

The ideal candidate will play a key role in analyzing financial data, supporting business decision-making, and providing insights that drive our mission of creating a reliable source of secondary materials. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, financial acumen, and a passion for sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to assess the company’s performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate new business initiatives and partnerships that align with our mission.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions to inform strategic decisions and ensure competitiveness.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Assist in the evaluation of investment opportunities, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives by assessing the financial impact of resource reuse and waste reduction strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 
• Strong experience in financial analysis, investment analysis, or related roles.
• Experience with financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
• Experience working with start-ups or scale-ups is highly preferable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Familiarity with financial software and tools, like "Exact Online"
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a start-up environment.
• Familiarity with sustainability practices and the circular economy is a strong advantage.
