As Senior Financial Controller, you help strengthen the internal financial control environment through reporting, analysis and business insight. In a growing software organization shaped by product development, project delivery and operational excellence, you bring structure to complexity and support informed decision making.

How You Create Value• Contribute to Finance Controlling across budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial performance analysis.
• Turn complex data into management insight, using advanced Excel and working knowledge of Power BI to support clear steering information.
• Interact closely with the accounting team during monthly closing activities and support accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Collaborate with the Group Controlling team at Patria during the monthly closing process and support alignment in reporting and controls.
• Act as a sparring partner to management by translating data into reasoned recommendations.
• Contribute to KPI driven control across departments, with visibility on project spend, cost structures and performance drivers.
• Respond to business questions with structured analysis and clear presentations in Dutch and English.
What You Bring
What You Bring• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
• Several years of experience in Finance Controlling, Business Control or Management Accounting.
• Strong accounting foundation, combined with experience in forecasting, financial reporting, financial controls and variance analysis.
• Experience working with data integrity and performance analysis in a controlled reporting environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial analysis and reporting models
• Working knowledge of Power BI and awareness of data and IT systems, combined with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Ability to interpret complex data, build clear analysis and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Fast learner with a proactive mindset and the confidence to engage constructively with different stakeholders.
Systems Thinking and Analytical Strength
You understand how financial data, operational data and performance indicators connect. You recognize dependencies, build sound analysis and turn complexity into clarity.
Working Across Teams and Functions
You work closely within a Finance Controlling team of six and collaborate across Finance, Operations, project teams and management in an international environment. You communicate clearly and are comfortable presenting insights in Dutch and English.
