Senior Financial Analyst, Manufacturing Operations Norwalk, Ohio

95-115K + Bonus + Paid Relocation 

This role requires a strong in-office presence, working five days a week at the facility to ensure close collaboration with the plant leadership team.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide essential financial leadership by analyzing and interpreting complex financial and operational data, partnering with site leaders to drive focus and ownership of cost reduction, and enhancing overall productivity efforts.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the site leadership team, your day-to-day work will include:

  • Financial Partnership: Function as a dedicated financial partner to the Plant Manager, actively driving and supporting cost reduction and productivity initiatives.
  • Planning & Forecasting: Lead the development of the site's financial operating plan and manage the monthly financial forecasting process.
  • Closing & Reporting: Conduct accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing activities, reporting financial results to plant staff and division personnel.
  • Cost Accounting: Assist in the development of plant Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, and the establishment of standard costs.
  • Analysis & Decision Support: Perform financial and strategic analysis to enable accurate business decisions and evaluate the financials of capital spending projects.
  • Process Improvement: Create and improve financial processes and procedures for plant operations and reconcile related general ledger accounts.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Work closely with the leadership team on various ad-hoc analyses to interpret business trends and provide critical insights for financial forecasts and modeling

Requirements

What You Bring to the Team

  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of overall professional experience, including direct experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or an equivalent background in experience.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of a major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (e.g., SAP or equivalent).
  • Modeling Proficiency: Excellent analytical and business modeling skills. Highly skilled in utilizing Excel for analysis and building decision models; proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Business Acumen: Strong financial acumen, analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills are required.
  • Communication & Leadership: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Work Style: Solid planning and analysis skills for annual operating planning, forecasting, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Travel: Minimal travel is required (estimated 0–10 days per year).

  • In-Office Requirement: This position is required to be in the office five days a week (Monday–Friday).
