Senior Financial Accountant – Israel 

Bilingual (Hebrew & English), US GAAP Expert 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Israel. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, fluent in both Hebrew and English, with a strong background in US GAAP accounting standards. You will play a key role in overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and supporting business operations in a dynamic multinational environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and local Israeli regulations. 
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
  • Oversee Israel payroll processing, including statutory filings and employee payments. 
  • Handle VAT accounting, submissions, and compliance with Israeli tax authorities. 
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both locally and internationally. 
  • Posting of journal entries and conducting account analyses. 
  • Management of local external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation. 
  • Handling intercompany billing and reconciliations to ensure accuracy across entities. 
  • Acting as a liaison between the internal IT team and external Israeli providers to support software localisation requirements. 
  • Supporting other team members as required to achieve departmental goals and projects. 
  • Continuously evaluate existing processes and controls to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. 

Requirements 

  • Fully qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent). 
  • Proven experience in US GAAP accounting. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Israel payroll processing and VAT regulations. 
  • Fluency in Hebrew and English (spoken and written). 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft D365, Michpal (Payroll) 
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
