Senior Finance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Finance Officer to support daily financial operations, regulatory reporting, and compliance. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial records, effective liquidity management, and strong internal controls within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handling the bank payments
• Assist in liquidity management to support daily operations, settlement and clearing
• Perform client money reconciliation and bank reconciliation
• Prepare Net Capital Report and other relevant regulatory reports
• Support month-end closing, (e.g. book keeping, balance sheet details reconciliation)
• Assist with tax filing to the Revenue Department (e.g. PND3, PND53, PND54, PP30, PP36, etc.)
• Liaison with auditor / tax consultant / company secretary for statutory reporting.
• Continuously driving process improvement
• Up keeping of strong internal control system and corporate governance
• Participate in the creation of new processes and system implementation when required
• Any other duties or projects assigned by the Management

Requirements

• Degree in accounting/finance/banking, and/or professional certification (e.g. CPD, CPA)
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with banking portals, banking process and accounting journals
• Strong interest in finance industry developments, especially surrounding regulatory and technical updates (e.g. SEC/BOT regulatory updates, IFRS, tax developments)
• Experience in financial services or fintech will be a plus
• Good English written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Excel - lookups, pivot tables, conditional formulas
• Self-driven, meticulous, organized, team player
• Willingness to adapt, be versatile, and take on tasks outside of pre-defined job scope to solve problems
