We are seeking a passionate (Senior)/ Finance Manager to join our rapidly expanding global organization. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all financial aspects of our Switzerland commercial entity.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new establish Swiss affiliate and to become part of a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

You will be joining the Swiss affiliate consisting of a handful of passionate and skilled colleagues.

You will report directly to Commercial Finance Director of Europe I, Cicek Wrabetz,who is based in Munich, Germany, and work very closely together with General Manager of Switzerland, Bettina Nauli. You will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • OTC and P2P Management: Oversee and review OTC and P2P processes in Switzerland, including reviewing revenue booking, rebate provisions, PO monitoring and controlling
  • Inventory Management: Oversee and review inventory in Swiss entity and work closely with global inventory team
  • Work closely with 4PL partner and support finance operations with LSP
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Act as a business partner to the commercial organization, support financial aspects and participate in forecasting processes.
  • Lead Accounting and Reporting Operations: Oversee all accounting operations in Swiss commercial entity ensuring timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings per IFRS standards, in collaboration with HQ in Denmark.
  • Internal Controls and Financial Reporting: Implement and maintain effective internal controls and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of financial tools and accounting processes to support company growth.
  • Group Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with group reporting guidelines, local reporting requirements, tax returns, VAT, and payroll, in coordination with Group Tax and third-party consultants.

Qualifications and Skills:

You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a CPA or other relevant education and min. 5 years of experience within Finance. It would be preferable if you had experience in the biopharmaceutical industry and/or start-up/SME environment.

 

Furthermore, you have:

  • Knowledge about IFRS, Tax, and VAT requirements in Switzerland
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and accounting systems.
  • Experience in developing and implementing efficient finance processes that can scale the company.
  • Experience/knowledge with drug price composition in Switzerland

Travel: approx..15-20 days per year.
