We’re looking for a Senior Finance Manager who can evolve our financial operations and reporting to match the exciting plans we have across the UK and US.

This role is perfect for a high-potential finance professional on a clear development path towards a Financial Controller position. You’ll get hands-on with the numbers, influence business decisions, and play a key part in shaping the future of a fast-growing FMCG brand.

What you’ll be doing:

Financial Reporting

  • Be the go-to person for our first statutory financial audit, managing the relationship with our auditors.
  • Own the monthly management accounts process - including consolidation and balance sheet reconciliations - and drive process improvements to close faster, align with best practice and deliver more impactful insights.
  • Be able to clearly analyse and articulate the key drivers behind our financial performance to P&L owners and the leadership team.

Tax and Compliance

  • Oversee VAT returns, HMRC filings, and other compliance requirements.
  • Work with external advisors to shape the best tax strategy across our multi-entity structure.
  • Coordinate with US accountants to ensure compliance with federal and state filings.

Financial Operations

  • Make sure our AP and AR ledgers are accurate and timely by overseeing the work of the finance assistants, helping the business make the best decisions for working capital
  • Drive short-term cash flow forecasting and manage weekly payrun approvals.
  • Partner with People on payroll processes, reviews and approvals.
  • Ensure stock valuation and controls are accurate in close collaboration with Operations

Finance Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to teams across the business, helping stakeholders understand and own their budgets
  • Transform internal reporting to give stakeholders clear visibility on spend versus budget.
  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support business and strategic decisions
  • Support the Global Head of Finance on budgets, forecasting and long range planning

Finance Transformation

  • Be curious and proactive in driving automation of processes and reporting.
  • Help identify and implement the best financial tech stack to scale efficiently.
  • Build a robust but agile financial controls framework that supports growth without hindering the culture.
  • Bring the business along on the journey - helping everyone understand and embrace smarter financial processes.

Line Management

  • Manage a small finance team of 2 direct reports, providing clear support and mentorship to help your team grow and develop in their careers.

Requirements

Who you are:

  • Qualified Accountant with several years relevant PQE experience in management accounts and financial reporting
  • Strong technical knowledge of group accounting and consolidation
  • Data driven with a genuine interest in processes, automation, and how finance can empower the business
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-growth environment, balancing structure with agility
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in an FMCG or stock centred business would be hugely advantageous
  • Experience with Xero advantageous but not essential
