Strategic analysis, process standardization and cost optimization are key areas of focus. What You'll Do:
  • Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting, including month-end and quarter-end close, quarterly reviews, and year-end close procedures for key balances sheet and income statement accounts. 
  • Prepare monthly reporting package (BoD) with variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with department leaders on monthly expense analysis including identifying cost optimization opportunities. Departments include Sales & Marketing, R&D, Operations, H/R and Finance.
  • Lead forecasting and annual operating plan cycles with time-oriented deliverables.
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire a general ledger team of 2+ members. 
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships. 
  • Lead process optimization projects that drive operational efficiencies to save hours & improve accuracy of internal reporting. 
  • Own the continual development and execution of control structures for GL accounting; serve as a thought partner for Sales & Marketing, R&D, Operations, H/R and Finance on their control structures. 
  • Develop and prepare internal management reporting documents to support company decision making and analysis. 
  • Own our quarterly and year end audit requests with our external auditors. Support ad-hoc projects as appropriate. 
  • Support any property or sales tax audits. 
  • Assist in the administration of bank accounts and access
  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or relevant field)
  • 8+ years of FP&A and accounting experience, tech-enabled/consumer products/medtech preferred. 
  • Experience in managing FP&A reporting/forecast cycles, month-end close process and external audits.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and develop others, and motivate teams to produce quality work within tight timeframes while managing several projects.
  • Bonus Points For:
  • Deep experience working with accounting & financial reporting and ERP systems. 
  • Proficient in NetSuite (preferred) or similar sized ERP, Excel, and Powerpoint. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A desire to work in a fast growing, exciting and agile business

    Anticipated salary range: $160,000 - $190,000
