Purpose

We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined technician who is motivated to learn and grow in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a key role in keeping our building systems reliable, efficient, and safe. This position supports daily facility operations, preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and ongoing improvements across our manufacturing and R&D spaces. The Role

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, safety systems, and general infrastructure. 
  • Assist in operating and maintaining critical utilities that support manufacturing and R&D equipment. 
  • Monitor building management systems (BMS) and respond to alarms, malfunctions, or facility emergencies. 
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality, compliant, and timely work. 
  • Help develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. 
  • Support installation, start-up, and commissioning of new facility equipment and infrastructure upgrades. 
  • Ensure work meets all relevant codes, standards, and environmental, health & safety (EHS) requirements. 
  • Share knowledge with junior technicians and collaborate effectively with the facilities team. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and work orders using a CMMS. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at boosting facility uptime, energy efficiency, and cost savings. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls. 
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificates or an associate degree are a plus. 
  • 3+ years of facility maintenance, mechanical, trades, or building systems experience (flexible for motivated learners). 
  • Mechanical aptitude with interest in expanding electrical, HVAC, and building systems skills. 
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, procedures, and basic technical drawings. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a self-starting, hands-on approach. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others. 
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions. 
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or similar industrial environments. 
  • Familiarity with cleanrooms or controlled environment systems. 
  • Trade certifications (electrical, HVAC, mechanical, etc.) or equivalent licenses. 
  • Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift operation experience. 

Work Environment

  • Work near moving mechanical equipment and in high-noise areas. 
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. 
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required. 

 

Pay Range
$32$44 USD
