Senior Executive – L&D (Global Offshore India Hub)

Location: Gurgaon

GroupM Nexus is the Performance organization that unites GroupM’s media activation capabilities (Search, Social, Programmatic, Commerce, Ad Ops, Digital I/O and Analytics), including proprietary solutions like Xaxis, Finecast (addressable TV) and INCA (influencer marketing), under a single operating structure. Globally, GroupM Nexus employs more than 9,000 biddable media specialists, of which 1500 are in Offshore Delivery Hubs in Mexico, Colombia, India, and Poland.

 

About the role

 

The Offshore hub in India is by far the largest of these hubs and is looking for a Senior Executive – Learning and Development. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing technical learning programs that align with the company's strategic objectives. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to develop effective technical training solutions for employees.

The Role helps define the technical skills landscape of India Offshore team and would be strategic advisor for India leadership team and India talent team. This role is part of the

India offshore talent team and would report to India talent leader.

Measures of Success:

In three months, you would have:

          Developed a strong understanding of GroupM's local, regional, and global operating models, with a specific focus on the GroupM Nexus Offshore vision and L&D operations.

          Established strong relationships and built trust with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external trainers or partners.

          Familiarized yourself with the current learning and development strategies, processes, and tools, identifying opportunities for improvement or innovation.

          Connected and built rapport with the broader GroupM India L&D community, contributing to cross-functional collaboration.

In six months, you would have:

          Begun to make a measurable impact through initiatives, using your knowledge and expertise to drive L&D improvements.

          Designed and implemented learning programs that address immediate skill gaps across key areas like Ecommerce, Media Planning, Programmatic, Paid Search, Paid Social, and Analytics.

          Developed a system for monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness, making data-driven decisions to enhance program quality.

In 12 months, you would have:

          Successfully launched a comprehensive, strategic L&D initiative tailored to the needs of the business, with a focus on long-term capability building.

          Created a sustainable network of learning professionals, facilitators, and external partners to support ongoing training needs.

          Built and managed a robust talent development pipeline that aligns with business goals, supporting employees through structured learning paths.

 

What your day job looks like at GroupM:

  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and department managers, to identify technical skills gaps and customize training solutions accordingly
  • Learning Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic learning and development plan that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop technical training programs, courses, and materials that meet the needs of various technical roles within the organization.
  • Content Creation: Create engaging and interactive learning content, including e- learning modules, videos, presentations, and other resources, using a variety of

tools and technologies.

  • Learning Delivery: Facilitate technical training sessions, workshops, and webinars, either in person or virtually, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning experience for participants
  • Learning Management: Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and evaluation results and ensure that technical training content is organized, accessible, and up to date.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Establish mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of learning programs and make data-driven improvements.
  • Learning Technology: Stay updated on learning technology trends and leverage tools and platforms to enhance the delivery and tracking of learning initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree with working experience of 1 to 3 Years in Media. Strong knowledge of Digital media Industry and Platforms and services.
  • Proven participation in designing and implementing learning and development programs.

  • Understanding adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical skills able to interpret present information which drives decision making
  • Ability to create high-quality processes and adhere to those standards
  • Proven experience of Imparting technical training.
