We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Executive - Business Liaison to join our New Delhi office. In this role, your core responsibilities will include data analytics, author training, open research (OR) outreach, and driving business growth across Taylor & Francis’s open research portfolio in India and South Asia. With a high degree of autonomy, you'll have the freedom to explore new opportunities and contribute to the business's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analytics & Market Research: Utilize tools like Microsoft Excel, Dimensions, Power BI, WOS, Scopus, and Wisdom AI to analyze data and create compelling business analyses, matrices, and pitches based on market research for OR.
  • Open Research Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of the open research landscape to drive content and ensure that services align with industry standards and client needs.
  • Innovation & Initiative: Innovate and engage our B2B partners (existing and upcoming) by researching their research output, objectives, and challenges to tailor solutions.
  • Client Engagement & Support: Serve as a central contact between clients, sales, and editorial teams. Present OA publishing models to prospects and current partners and coordinate with editorial teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Business Reporting & Financial Management: Track accounts, manage revenue and finance details for the OR SASSA team, and support invoicing and payments. Prepare reports and analyse data to generate insights on regional revenue. Identify gaps, if any.
  • Commercial Accountability: As part of the commercial team, this role includes revenue accountability, ensuring that your efforts directly contribute to the financial success of the open research portfolio.
  • Collaboration & Campaigns: Partner with the Marketing team to plan and execute promotional activities and client engagement strategies.

This role requires strong data analytics, market research, and financial management skills, along with a proactive and innovative approach to uncovering new business opportunities in the open research landscape.

  • Strong analytical and research-oriented background with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in academic research publishing are preferable.
  • Ability to comprehend research articles across the multiple publishing formats offered by Taylor & Francis’s Open Access portfolio.
  • Knowledge of Open Access publishing, including the latest trends and key OA publishing service providers and their models, is preferred.
  • Experience in building effective working relationships with different stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Experience in facilitation and conflict resolution.
  • Project management skills.
  • IT proficiency, particularly in using data applications and MS Office; advanced Excel skills are preferred.
  • Financial, industry, and market awareness.

When you’re not spending time together in one of our offices or other workplaces – like at a conference – you get the flexibility and support to work from home or remotely.

The successful candidate will be able to utilize our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance to our New Delhi office to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office locations to collaborate as required. There is an expectation for a minimum of 3 days per week in-person time.​
