Senior Events Coordinator

BusRight is hiring its first marketing team member in New York City to build the marketing & events engine of a fast-growing startup on a mission to ensure every child has access to education through safe, efficient, and reliable transportation.

As BusRight’s Senior Events Coordinator, you’ll report directly to the CEO to drive 2x+ year-over-year revenue growth by leading high-converting marketing and event strategies. This includes the design and execution of magical in-person events, securing high-leverage conference sponsorships, and managing end-to-end conference logistics.

We’ve doubled revenue year-over-year for the last several years, largely through referrals and word-of-mouth, and now we’re ready to put fuel on the fire. We’re offering competitive compensation for the right candidate with deep expertise in scaling revenue-generating in-person and virtual events.

A Bit About BusRight

BusRight is a 40-person mobility startup serving over 70,000 users (Transportation Directors, Drivers, and Parents) across school districts and bus companies in 33 states. We’re a remote team with hubs in New York City, Boston, and Austin. Responsibilities & Outcomes

Own the strategy & execution of in-person and virtual events (chapter meetings, conferences, & webinars) and make them magical, personalized, and scalable.

  • Develop a strategic plan for all 25+ conferences BusRight will attend in 2025.
  • Own all prospect-facing virtual events (e.g., webinars) from event creation, demand generation, and follow-up.
  • Manage all email marketing campaigns at BusRight, collaborating closely with the sales team to ensure alignment with our hub-and-spoke sales strategy.

A Day in the Life

It’s Tuesday. You and a Regional Sales Manager at BusRight are on the road in Maine, supporting four on-site prospect visits and one chapter meeting. You:

  • Ensure all logistics, from lunch orders to projector cables and post-event lead follow-up, are flawlessly documented and executed.
  • Greet every guest with a smile and spark personalized conversations, while setting the table for the seller to lead the presentation.
  • Follow up with handwritten notes and a personal gift, like camping gear for the group of Transportation Directors who mentioned they love the outdoors.
  • Lead two calls with news outlets in Maine to pitch stories about BusRight’s partnership with local communities.
  • Wrap-up designs of an immersive and experiential conference trade show booth setup.

Why This Role Matters

By obsessing over the details and creating unforgettable moments and connections, you’ll make a tangible impact by:

  • Establishing BusRight as the trusted partner and platform to get students to and from school safely, resulting in shorter sales cycles, increased organic top-of-funnel growth, and accelerated market share expansion in key states.
  • Fueling sales reps with time, space, and leads to focus on relationships and winning business, helping them hit 90%+ of their quota on average.
  • Building stronger relationships with prospects and customers through high-quality, personalized touchpoints that embody our commitment to magical hospitality.

At BusRight, you won’t just have a seat at the table, you’ll help set it. This is your opportunity to shape the brand of a company that’s transforming how millions of kids get to school, while helping rebuild public trust in one of our most foundational and critical institutions: K-12 education.

BusRight is modernizing our nation's largest mass transit system, school buses.
