As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering and other stream leaders to ensure teams are optimally resourced, engaged, and aligned with company goals. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development, contributing to employee engagement and retention.
This role is based in Bengaluru.

You'll be part of a team dedicated to building and maintaining high-performing engineering teams. Your role is to ensure that team members are meeting agreed-upon commitments, are optimally resourced, and are provided with the necessary support to achieve their goals . You will also play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development, contributing to overall employee engagement and retention.

What you'll get to do

  • Support engineering teams, focusing on recruitment, development, and performance management.
  • Supporting team leads to ensure team commitments commitments are met in alignment with company goals and operating principles.
  • Lead and manage a team of 35-50 engineers, defining the technical vision and strategy.
  • Promote an ongoing learning environment that enhances employee engagement, improves retention, and drives organisational success.
  • Provide coaching and support engineers in their development to help them achieve their goals.
  • Drive AI/ML integration for demand forecasting, recommendation engine, and real-time decision engines.
  • Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and security for high-traffic applications.
  • Lead or become a core member within our Community of Practice in a relevant technical area, setting standards and ensuring consistency across teams.

What you will bring

  • Proven experience in leading technical teams and supporting delivery leads in the management of complex projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • An understanding of learning frameworks and training tools.
  • A collaborative approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and team development.
  • A minimum of 12 years in software engineering and 8 years managing teams of 20+ in distributed cloud systems.
  • Expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) & Proficient in Java/Python/Go/.Net.
  • Proven success in scaling platforms to high RPS
  • Deep knowledge of cloud-native tools (Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform).
