Senior Engineer, Systems Integration (R4310)

Job Description: Shield AI is seeking a candidate to lead the seamless integration of complex systems into our vehicle's confined spaces. In this high-ownership role, you'll lead the systems layout on the vehicle, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimize size, weight, and cost. This involves managing the product structure, creating diverse zonal configurations, and spearheading iterative design discussions with key stakeholders to deliver a cohesive final product. Lead vehicle systems layout configuration.

Design, analyze and procure all secondary support structure on vehicle.

Create and manage the product structure.

Drive iterative subsystem design discussions with key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive final product.

Manage physical and electrical interfaces across stakeholder teams.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge of aircraft systems (e.g., avionics, flight controls, hydraulics, electrical power distribution, environmental control systems, propulsion).

Strong CAD skills (NX preferred) with integration experience

Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Clean Sheet Design to first flight experience

Experience with UAVs, aircraft, or robotic systems 

Proven experience leading technical integration efforts and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Materials selection inclusive of alloys, heat treatments, allowables, and finishes 

Hands-on machine shop or mechanic experience (professional or hobby) 

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
