Senior Engineer

Duties: Draw on experience in software engineering, robotics or machine learning and analysis of large data sets to build probabilistic models. Dive into data to understand behaviors of road users such as cars, bikes, and pedestrians. Predict how other road users may move and interact with autonomous driving cars and evaluate their performance on real-world and simulated data sets. Leverage machine learning methods where appropriate. Use real-time perception data and prior knowledge to estimate how the world around us will change, so that the planner can make better decisions. Apply mathematics, data analytics, and machine learning experience to improve pragmatic approach of making a more intelligent autonomous vehicle. Translate generated algorithms into production-level code. Collaborate with Planning and Perception teams to achieve objectives in improving system performance. Requirements: Master’s degree in computer science, robotics or a closely related field plus 2 years of experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill sets described above.
