Senior Engineer

Duties: Draw on experience in in designing and implementing C++, Python, LiDAR, computer vision, sensor fusion, probabilistic perception, point cloud processing, object tracking, data association, optimization, and/or machine learning to develop perception algorithms to detect and identify objects, etc. for autonomous driving systems. Develop and implement cutting-edge mapping algorithms that allow autonomous vehicles to map the area. Collect data and analyze results of benchmarks, road, and regression tests. Partner with colleagues to design innovative algorithms in motion planning, and control. Use radar, lidar, and graph-based SLAM algorithms. Integrate perception software into prototype autonomous driving systems. Work with Radar, LiDAR, computer vision, sensor fusion, probabilistic perception, point cloud processing, object tracking, data association, optimization, and machine learning in developing perception algorithms. Work on mathematical modeling within a simulated environment, e.g. roadway while it is raining. Further the research and development of autonomous vehicles. Use C++, Python, and MATLAB to further the capabilities of autonomous vehicles. Requirements: Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or a closely related field plus 5 years of industry experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill sets described above. Alternatively, the Employer will accept a PhD degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related field and 2 years of experience combined with demonstrable ability in the skill/knowledge set described above. This position is eligible for employee referral programs.
