As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at FundThrough, you’ll be instrumental in building the platform that powers fast, flexible capital for small businesses. You will work across the stack (front-end, backend, data, and embedded integrations) to deliver intuitive, scalable, and automated solutions aligned with FundThrough’s vision of growing its position as a capital access platform. This is a hands-on role that requires deep technical excellence, product empathy, and a strong execution mindset. You’ll work closely with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to ship high-leverage features and systems in a fast-moving, high-trust environment.
What You’ll Do
Technical Execution & Architecture
- Build and own features across the stack (React/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Postgres, AWS) with a focus on high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Contribute to automation-first development, from invoice verification to underwriting and cash application, with minimal human touch and high observability.
- Drive development of embedded experiences via Web Components and APIs used in partner platforms, enabling clients to access funding without leaving their workflow.
- Champion modular platform architecture and support multi-tenant, API-first, event-driven systems designed for scale and external partner adoption.
- Translate business and product strategy into clear technical scope and system design aligned with long-term automation and platform goals.
Product & Collaboration
- Partner with product, risk, and operations to shape and execute high-leverage initiatives (e.g. funding automation, underwriting automation, embedded widgets).
- Help gain consensus, clarity and alignment on product designs by asking the right questions, exploring alternative solutions and exploring the art of the possible.
- Build systems that drive core KPIs such as funding turnaround time, cost-per-client, invoice throughput, and user engagement.
- Contribute to experimentation pipelines (e.g. Line of Credit product, 2nd lien, pricing experiments) and evaluate the impact of product bets through instrumentation and analytics.
- Take ownership of defining and validating “Definition of Done” not just as code delivery, but as actual business impact realization.
Craft, Quality & Tooling
- Uphold high standards in code quality, maintainability, and test coverage across unit, integration, and E2E levels.
- Promote best practices in observability, CI/CD, and documentation.
- Contribute to building and improving internal tools that support onboarding, funding workflows, and document processing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on full stack experience in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and backend services in Python or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable services in cloud-native environments (preferably AWS).
- Strong understanding of API design and frontend-backend integration patterns (e.g., BFF).
- Experience working in high-trust, lean, cross-functional teams.
- Strong system design and data modeling skills.
- Familiarity with workflow automation, event-driven architecture, or financial platforms is a plus.
- Bonus: experience with embedded finance, invoicing/payment systems, identity verification, or underwriting logic.
- C1 English level required
