Senior Engineer (DevOps) - Health & Care

TLDR

You’ll enhance and support the delivery of cloud-based products for public sector organizations while designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

You’ll be a key contributor in enhancing and supporting the delivery of our cloud‑based products that are used by public sector organisations across Australia. In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable secure, reliable, and scalable deployments. You will work closely with engineers across the business, shaping technical discussions, influencing engineering standards, and helping uplift DevOps capability within the team. Requirements

What you will need to be successful in this role

  • Strong hands‑on experience with modern DevOps practices.
  • Proven ability to design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure Pipelines.
  • Experience deploying and supporting applications in Azure cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in at least one of .NET or C#, with the ability to work across enterprise‑scale application deployments.
  • Solid SQL Server knowledge and experience managing database changes as part of release processes.
  • Ability to analyse complex, mixed‑stack enterprise applications and automate deployment pipelines end‑to‑end.
  • Strong troubleshooting capability and comfort working in complex, legacy‑to‑cloud environments.
  • Experience contributing to technical design discussions, solution planning, and pipeline architecture.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and act as a technical SME when required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate deployment approaches and efficiencies.
  • Collaborative team player who can work effectively across Engineering, Delivery, and customer stakeholders.
  • Comfortable engaging with customers during deployment or release cycles when needed.
  • Resilience and adaptability when navigating complex systems and multi‑technology environments.
  • Proactive learner who keeps up to date with modern DevOps tooling and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high‑quality, secure, and performant solutions in a senior engineering or DevOps‑focused role.
