Join our team at Two Six Technologies where you’ll immerse yourself in cutting-edge vulnerability research on a wide range of unique embedded systems. As part of our elite team of researchers, you’ll work alongside hardware, software, and network experts to develop tools that speed the reverse engineering process and transform innovative proofs of concept into robust capabilities that address real-world threats. Our fast-growing roster of customers relies on us to deliver advanced security solutions, and we’re looking for an Embedded Tool Developer to help us continue pushing boundaries. If you’re passionate about building tools that make a tangible impact on national security, we want you on our team.

What you will do:

Develop tooling to automate and aid in the reverse engineering of embedded systems
Work closely with hardware, software, and network engineers to reverse engineer wireless, network, and other embedded systems, identifying vulnerabilities and assessing their security impact.
Rapidly prototype new technologies to exploit and interact with target systems.

What you will need (basic requirements):

Experience writing and debugging C, C++, Python, and shell scripting
Strong experience using Git, creating CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to team-based development projects
Comfort in creating tools to analyze unknown targets, protocols, and information.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field OR have 5+ years of equivalent professional experience in software tool development

Nice to have (Preferred):

Experience working as part of small R&D teams composed of researchers and engineers
Experience with embedded systems, firmware development, or firmware reverse engineering
Hands-on experience debugging embedded systems and interacting with embedded firmware

Security Clearance:

Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary Range

$156,060—$234,090 USD
