Senior Elixir Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Elixir Engineer in the Integrations team, you are at the heart of Tellent’s ecosystem. You’ll be responsible for building the "bridges" between our products (Recruitee, HR, Grow) and the external tools our customers love - from job boards and payroll systems to AI assessment tools.

While this role is primarily focused on backend development (Elixir), you'll have the chance to contribute to the frontend (TypeScript/React) to create seamless and reliable integration experiences. You are not just a coder; you are a product-oriented engineer who cares about how an integration solves a real-world HR problem.

Your 12-Month Journey

• During the first 3 months: You’ll immerse yourself in the Tellent ecosystem. You’ll learn our Elixir codebase, get familiar with our multi-product architecture, and ship your first integration or bug fix. You’ll work closely with a mentor to understand our event-driven patterns and API standards.

• Within 6 months: You will take full ownership of a new partner integration from concept to production. You’ll be comfortable navigating our backend services and contributing to the frontend configuration flows.

• After 1 year: You’ll be a subject matter expert in the Integrations team. You will lead the modernization of existing codebases, mentor newer team members, and help define the roadmap for our Partner APIs.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build & Scale: Design and maintain integrations using APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.

• Backend Ownership: Develop robust services in Elixir (primary) and Node.js, ensuring high observability and reliability.

• Frontend Contribution: Maintain the UI components (TypeScript/React/Angular) that allow users to configure and monitor their integrations.

• Operational Excellence: Help debug production issues and improve monitoring for integrations at scale.

• Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Partnerships, and Design to align technical solutions with business needs.

What You Bring

• Backend Mastery: Solid experience building backend services (Elixir is a must; Node.js, Ruby, or Python is a plus).

• API Design: Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and working with PostgreSQL.

• Frontend Fluency: Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React (or comparable frameworks).

• Engineering Mindset: You care about reliability, observability, and solving the right problem, not just implementing specs.

• Communication: Fluent in both English and Polish languages.

  For B2B: 20000 - 28000 PLN + VAT and 30 paid break days
