The Opportunity That Awaits You:
At PROCEPT BioRobotics, we don’t just build machines, we build the eyes and the precision behind the next generation of surgical robotics. We are looking for a SeniorElectrical Engineer we need a visionary to own the "brain" and "eyes" of our visualization systems.In this role, you won't just be a "contributor". You will be an architect of the imaging electronics that allow our surgical robots to see, process, and react to the human body in real-time.
What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:
Step into a lab where your designs are more than theoretical, but rather is the pulse of a life-saving robotic system affecting over 94 million men globally!
Your day-to-day will be a high-impact blend of visionary strategy and hands-on creation:
- You will own the "eyes" of the robot, leading the design of high-performance camera hardware and imaging electronics that define our visualization systems.
- From concept to production, you’ll architect complex circuit boards and custom cabling, turning raw ideas into functional, testable hardware.

Wield a full arsenal of lab tools such as Multimeters, Oscilloscope, power supplies, analyzers, and generators to push your designs to their limits.
- You’ll serve as the technical bridge between mechanical, firmware, and software teams to deliver fully integrated robotic solutions.
- Every design you create will be optimized for the extreme reliability and usability required in a life-saving operating room environment.
- Beyond the desk, you’ll spend high-impact time hands-on in the lab using modern test equipment to push our designs through rigorous verification.
- You will navigate the highest standards of regulatory excellence including IEC, FCC, CE certifications and others to ensure absolute patient safety.
- Ultimately, you are here to evolve our technology, driving continuous improvement for current products while pioneering the next generation of surgical innovation.
The Qualifications We Need You to Possess:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Advanced degrees are preferred) backed by 8+ years of high-impact industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail while having a positive attitude to take initiatives!

Deep expertise in CMOS sensors, image processing pipelines, and chip-to-chip interfaces like MIPI, LVDS, GMSL, and CML.
- Circuit design proficiency: Multi-gigabit SerDes, ADC, DAC, isolators, analog bridge, USB controller, and signal integrity.
- Knowledge of CMOS sensor and image processing pipelines.
- Highly skilled with PCBA design with Altium Designer, OrCAD or similar.
- Proven track record of DFx – design for signal integrity, EMI, reliability, test, manufacturability, assembly, yield, and usability.
- Ability to work within a cross functional environment while being an excellent critical thinker and problem-solver with a flexible approach to handling multiple projects.
The Qualifications We'd Like You to Possess:
- Experience in Medical device, biotech, or other heavily regulated industry background strongly desired.
- Knowledge and experience with robotic systems, ultrasound, and endoscopy.
- Comfortable with document control, requirements tracking, bug tracking, and project management tools.
- Experience with IEC 60601-1-2 and IEC 60601-1. IEC 60601-2-18, a plus.
- Knowledge of FPGA design tools (Xilinx/Altera) a plus.

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $140,000-190,000 per year.
Plus, eligibility for an annual bonus and equity/RSUs

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY
Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role represents a base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance.
