Senior Editorial Game Designer

We are looking for a Senior Editorial Game Designer to empower or Editorial team located in the center of our creations - Gameloft HQ. Together with Chief Creative Officer and dedicated team of designers you will define what it means to be a Gameloft game and help create new ones for our future lineup! We are only searching for experienced designers with production and management experience and with a wide range of design skills: you need to have been dipping in systems design, UX, narrative, gameplay etc - with the focus on deep knowledge of games as service.

Your mission would be to help game teams make a new hit games that fit Gameloft as a company, make a splash on market and, most importantly, stay long in player's hearts:

  • You will work together with Chief Creative Officer on refining Gameloft Editorial strategy and see it applied in new games.
  • You will help teams find their new game to work on by working closely with publishers, game teams and top management.
  • You will support game teams around the world in delivering top notch mobile and cross-platform games, ensuring consistency in our line-up and making sure everything lives up to our quality standards and players expectations.
  • You will follow-up on games in evolution, helping teams keep the quality of long-running games up to modern standards.
  • You will help build and host design workshops, organize educational spaces and help local design directors grow their team's expertise. We are constantly improving our design processes, and we see you as an integral participant in this process.

 

We are looking for a senior industry professional with at least 7+ years of work on different project, especially in leadership roles.

  • You have a passion for games and are unrivalled in your knowledge of our industry's game-design trends. You play the latest mobile AND PC/console games, without locking yourself into one genre.
  • You know all the latest concepts of game design theory and their application in projects of different genres.
  • You have several titles under your belt where you served in a Lead Designer position (or higher). You know nuts and bolts of game development not only in theory, but in practice.
  • You are able to find out of the box solutions to game design problems in new and existing games.
  • You know how to translate your solutions and ideas in realistic, actionable, respectful and motivating feedback. Perfect knowledge of English language is a must.
  • You are comfortable with Powerpoint, spreadsheet software, as well as with Adobe Photoshop.
  • As a plus, you've already hosted game design workshops and are comfortable with public communication
