The Senior E-Commerce Merchandiser will be responsible for managing Selkirk Sport’s online sales strategy across marketplaces (Shopee, Lazada) and our DTC platform in Asia. This role combines data analysis, visual merchandising and inventory planning to maximise revenue, enhance discoverability and create a seamless shopping experience.
The ideal candidate is a result detail-oriented, results-driven professional with experience in e-commerce operations, pricing strategies and performance analytics and a passion for sports and omnichannel retails.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketplace & DTC Merchandising
- Optimize product listings (titles, descriptions, images, videos) for Shopee, Lazada and Selkirk’s website, ensuring alignment with local search trends and platform algorithms.
- Plan and execute promotions, flash sales, and bundles to boost conversions and AOV across all channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align merchandising with campaigns (social media, email, influencer partnerships).
- Localisation of Shopify across our e-commerce presence in Asia
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze sales performance (conversion rates, bounce rates, cart abandonment) and implement improvements.
- Conduct A/B tests on product pages, CTAs, and cross-sell placements to optimize UX and revenue.
- Monitor competitor pricing and promotions to adjust Selkirk’s strategies dynamically.
Inventory & Demand Planning
- Forecast demand for key products and coordinate with supply chain teams to prevent stockouts or overstocks.
- Identify slow-moving inventory and propose markdowns or bundles to improve turnover.
Customer Experience & Retention
- Improve product discoverability through SEO, filters, and search-friendly catalog structuring.
- Leverage customer reviews and feedback to address pain points in product pages or fulfillment.
- Develop loyalty programs (e.g., repeat buyer discounts) to increase retention.
Reporting & Performance
- Track KPIs (GMV, traffic, ROI on promotions) and generate weekly/monthly reports for leadership.
- Provide actionable insights to regional teams to scale best practices across Asia.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, digital retail, or performance marketing (preferably in sports, fitness, or consumer goods).
- Strong analytical skills - proficient in Google Analytics, Shopify, Excel, or BI tools.
- Experience with SEO, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Knowledge of Asia e-commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada etc.) is a plus.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, Tagalog, or Vietnamese is a bonus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-Commerce, or a related field.
- Passion for pickleball or racquet sports is a big plus!
