Sobi is seeking a passionate, patient-centric, talented marketer for the role of Senior Director, US Hematology Marketing for the largest Sobi NA Franchise in Sobi. This individual leads the product strategy for significant product(s) in Sobi NA’s Hematology portfolio. You will lead cross-functional teams to develop disease and brand strategy, leveraging expertise in disease-state, market and patient segmentation, and brand promotion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the hematology oncology space.

This role will lead a team of 4-5 marketers.

This role is flexible on location, with a preference near Waltham, MA and Raleigh, NC.

Key Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to the following

  • Lead branded marketing efforts for the hematology portfolio in the U.S., including all HCP, account-focused, and patient personal/non personal promotion, conferences, meetings and events
  • Led development of the brand franchise and tactical plans
  • Lead development, creation and implementation of branded omni-channel HCP and patient promotional initiatives
  • Identify and address drivers and obstacles to brand adoption among target HCPs and Patients to inform brand strategy and franchise planning
  • Develop, refine and evolve core disease and promotional campaigns for HCPs and patients that correspond to brand needs and market insights
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and field teams to identify best practices and uncover needs/trends and build relationships to improve consistency of brand strategy execution
  • Partner with analytics and market research to distill insights, validate business opportunities, optimize marketing mix, and monitor return on investment (ROI) of marketing programs
  • Think holistically about the business and closely monitor performance against key metrics, taking accountability for driving success of initiatives over the long-term in a competitive market
  • Lead all national congress strategy and execution, including vendor management, booth design, and internal coordination

Additional:

  • Drive and support development of key meetings, such as National Sales Meetings and POAs
  • Cultivate strong relationships and drive collaboration with all cross functional partners including sales, global commercial, regulatory, legal, analytics, market research, competitive intelligence, patient advocacy, patient services, field reimbursement, medical affairs, and market access
  • Help develop hematology portfolio long range plan and forecast
  • Manage vendors and marketing budget
  • Collaborate to create and implement strategies with the Hematology Leadership Team both in North America and Global team
  • Cultivate a collaborative team environment amongst the marketing team and cross functional partners 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field; preferably in business, marketing or the sciences
  • 12+ years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, including 5+years in marketing roles of increasing scope and people management responsibility
  • Prior launch experience, including leading core marketing strategy and execution for launch
  • Demonstrated experience establishing cross-functional project objectives and tactics
  • Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, managing through ambiguity
  • Self-starter who functions well both independently or within a team. Demonstrated ability to lead without authority
  • Strong project, vendor, and agency management track record, including resource allocation and fiscal management
  • Experience in managing complex projects through Legal, Medical and Regulatory Approval
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels
  • Experience managing small or large teams of direct reports, and ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • MBA in relevant field
  • Experience working in Hematology and Oncology
  • Experience working with an accelerated approval product
  • Experience in HCP and Patient Marketing, Digital Marketing, Market Access, or Insights roles
  • Rare disease experience

The base salary range for this role is $207,000 – $260,000. Each individual offer will be determined based on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, and location. Additionally, this role is eligible for both short-term and long-term bonuses, as outlined in the plan details.
