As Head of Subscription, you will serve as the strategic and operational lead for our subscription businesses, owning the P&L and being directly accountable for its complete financial performance.

You’ll oversee the full subscription lifecycle, from acquisition and activation to monetization and retention, across mobile and web platforms. Success in this role requires a hands-on leader who can lead Growth while working seamlessly with Product, Engineering, and Finance to build and optimize scalable systems for conversion, pricing, churn reduction, and engagement.

You’ll drive experimentation across paywalls, pricing tiers, feature access, and lifecycle flows. Your mandate is to maximize subscriber LTV, reduce churn, and deliver compounding revenue outcomes, while aligning closely with product vision and broader company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Own Subscription P&L & Strategic Growth
  • Define and execute the end-to-end subscription strategy, aligned with company revenue goals and unit economics.
  • Own the Growth function and optimize key financial KPIs: MRR, LTV, CAC payback, ARPU, churn, and retention.
  • Collaborate with Finance on forecasting, scenario planning, and reporting for board-level visibility.
  • Lead pricing, tiering, bundling, and freemium decisions based on customer segmentation and market insights.
  • Drive Lifecycle Conversion & Monetization
  • Manage the entire subscriber journey—from free-to-paid conversion to retention and win-back.
  • Oversee lifecycle programs across email, push, in-app messaging, and referral loops.
  • Develop differentiated strategies for fantasy players, sports bettors, and multi-product users.

Lead Experimentation & Monetization Innovation

  • Own the subscription product roadmap in partnership with Product and Engineering.
  • Design and run structured A/B tests on paywalls, trials, onboarding, cancellation flows, and upsells.
  • Partner with product and growth teams to integrate monetization touchpoints seamlessly into the UX.

Build Systems for Reporting & Optimization

  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track subscription health and funnel performance.
  • Use cohort, behavioral, and revenue data to guide experimentation and decision-making.
  • Monitor user behavior across segments to identify expansion, retention, and pricing opportunities.

Requirements

Extensive Subscription Growth Experience

  • Proven success owning and scaling subscription businesses in B2C SaaS, mobile apps, or consumer tools.
  • Deep understanding of freemium funnels, pricing strategy, LTV optimization, and churn reduction.
  • 7+ Years.P&L AccountabilityExperience managing a revenue stream with direct ownership of forecasting, performance metrics, and monetization strategy.

Product-Minded Operator

  • Comfortable partnering with product and engineering teams on roadmap development, feature gating, monetization UX, and lifecycle optimization.
  • Data-Driven & ExperimentalStrong analytical foundation (Excel, SQL, Looker, Amplitude, or similar).
  • Able to lead structured A/B testing, build dashboards, and apply behavioral segmentation to drive decision-making.

Domain Expertise

  • Prior experience or deep familiarity with fantasy sports, sports betting, or adjacent consumer categories like gaming, media, or real-time analytics.
  • Understands user behavior patterns such as seasonality, streak-based engagement, and high-frequency usage models.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Track record of influencing and executing across multiple teams including Product, Growth, Engineering, and Finance.
  • Strong communicator who can balance strategic thinking with tactical action.
