Overview of the Role

The Sr. Director of Sales leads our Whole Foods Market business, driving strategic growth, strengthening retailer partnerships, and ensuring best-in-class execution across the WFM ecosystem. This role is responsible for delivering top-line revenue growth, expanding retail prominence, and identifying incremental opportunities that align with WFM’s evolving priorities.

As the senior leader overseeing WFM, the Sr. Director maintains executive relationships with key WFM stakeholders across Merchandising, Marketing, Pricing, and UNFI, positioning both our clients and our team as trusted, value-adding partners. They proactively navigate category reviews, promotional strategy, innovation launches, and ongoing business planning to ensure strong alignment and results.

This leader develops and guides a team of Account Managers dedicated to WFM, setting clear strategic direction while fostering accountability, collaboration, and proactive communication. They work closely with the team to refine go-to-market strategy, elevate in-store execution, and drive measurable outcomes against client KPIs.

In partnership with clients and internal cross-functional teams, the Sr. Director ensures our brands are positioned for long-term success within WFM - anticipating challenges, solving complex issues, and unlocking growth opportunities within one of our most critical retail relationships.

Fully remote but must be local to Austin, TX to attend meetings at WFM HQ.

Salary range $130,000 - $140,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills

Travel requirement: Up to 30% - travel possibilities would include major industry shows, client meetings, team training, leadership training and travel to corporate offices.

Lead and develop a high-performing, WFM-dedicated team of Directors, Account Managers, and Sales Support, fostering accountability, collaboration, and retailer-first execution.

Drive consistent application of C.A. Fortune selling principles within the WFM ecosystem, ensuring strategic alignment and elevated execution.

Partner with clients to deliver focused brand training and equip the team with the tools, data, and insights needed to win at WFM.

Maintain regular market engagement to provide real-time coaching informed by in-store conditions and category dynamics.

Collaboration & Retail Partnership Leadership

Serve as a senior point of contact for WFM, building and sustaining trusted, strategic relationships across key functional leaders.

Act as a conduit for communication between WFM stakeholders, C.A. Fortune leadership, and client partners.

Guide clients in packaging insights, innovation, and promotional strategies in a manner that aligns with WFM’ priorities and drives retailer value.

Business & Growth Delivery

Drive top-line growth across the WFM portfolio by expanding distribution, optimizing promotional programming, and identifying innovation opportunities.

Monitor performance metrics, trade effectiveness, and category trends to proactively mitigate risk and unlock incremental growth.
- Ensure disciplined execution against manufacturer KPIs and WFM-specific objectives, strengthening long-term brand positioning.
