JOB HIGHLIGHT
You will lead the Corporate & Foundation Partnerships strategy for charity: water, developing, cultivating and stewarding brand partners & foundations, that over next five years grow to, generously raise and give $20M+ annually for the organization. You will develop and execute innovative, multi-year campaigns, impactful foundation gifts & activations that drive revenue, acquire new donors and build the charity: water brand.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the VP of Global Partnerships, you will sit as a key leader on the Global Partnerships team and oversee the strategy, execution and growth of corporate & foundation partnerships strategies to accelerate revenue. You will be responsible for developing and managing an end-to-end pipeline of corporate & foundation partnerships that raise revenue, build the brand and acquire new donors for water and operations. Your role extends beyond traditional corporate foundation partnerships to encompass testing new innovative revenue streams, thought leadership initiatives, and the pursuit of transformational 7-8 figure funding opportunities from diverse sources. You'll focus on securing multi-year commitments for both Water and Operations funding, positioning charity: water as the premier strategic partner for organizations and philanthropists seeking maximum impact in the global charitable sector. You will oversee a small team of managers and associates.
YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…
Strategic Leadership
● Serving as a thought-partner to the VP of Global Partnerships in working towards our organizational goals, including blue sky brainstorming and targeting strategic new partners
● Establishing charity: water as a thought leader in the partnerships space through conference speaking, industry publications, and innovative partnership models
● Partnering with leaders across the organization to innovate and develop new offerings, activations and campaigns that position charity: water as the best-in-class charitable brand partner
● Learning, studying, and becoming an expert on charity: water's programmatic work and the international WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) sector in general
Pipeline Development & Revenue Growth
● Leading the development and management of an end-to-end pipeline of corporate and foundation partners—from prospect to advocate/champion of both Water & Ops
● Building a corporate & institutional strategy that includes targeted approaches, key milestones and measurable KPIs
● Owning the long-term strategy and performance for multi-year and repeat partners, ensuring that we meet or exceed our annual revenue targets
Partnership Execution
● Leading complex partnership negotiations and closing transformational deals that establish charity: water as the preferred long-term strategic partner
● Overseeing the crafting of bold, compelling proposals and grant applications that highlight our programmatic achievements and explore new opportunities, collaborating with key stakeholders in Programs, Finance and Marketing
● Stewarding a small portfolio of strategic partners with sophistication and passion, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion within those relationships
● Representing the organization in partnership meetings and at various virtual and in-person events to engage current and prospective partners
Team Management & Collaboration
● Leading a team of at least four Corporate Partnership staff, helping them grow their annual portfolio revenue year-over-year through both developing new partnerships and maximizing current
● Acting as internal thought leader to drive brainstorming, collaboration and creative ideation that develop meaningful partnerships
● Collaborating with other leaders on Global Partnerships to ensure products, resources, moves management and program excellence is maintained and optimized
YOU MUST HAVE…
● A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or similar
● 8-10+ years of corporate fundraising, new business cultivation or sales experience with a proven track record of revenue generation
● 6+ years working in brand/corporate partnerships or account management
● 5+ years of people management experience, overseeing and supporting a team of direct reports
● Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the organization to senior-level partner stakeholders
● Exceptional writing skills and demonstrated excellence in drafting compelling proposals, grants and stewardship communications
● Strategic mindset and ability to connect our mission to larger goals and build compelling cases for support
● Acute attention to detail and ability to stay on top of critical deadlines
● An incredible passion for our mission that invigorates and excites everyone you share it with
● Experience working in a collaborative environment with creative, marketing, and finance teams
● Ability to travel 5% of the time

This is an exempt role with a range of $153,698 - $170,775 a year.
