The Senior Director of Finance at Auterion is responsible for architecting, scaling, and leading the company’s financial planning and revenue operations infrastructure. In this role, you will partner closely with executive and functional leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable financial plans, ensuring rigorous forecasting, performance visibility, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

This role is as strategic as it is hands-on: you will own company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes while building driver-based models that capture business performance, growth dynamics, and unit economics. You will connect strategy to execution by delivering clear performance insights, supporting go-to-market capacity planning, guiding cost optimization initiatives, and strengthening alignment between Finance, Accounting, and Revenue teams.

You will have the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing FP&A and Revenue Operations team across the US and Europe, implement scalable systems and controls, enhance planning and analytics tooling, and leverage AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency and insight generation as the company grows.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Own company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Partner with executive and functional leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable financial plans
  • Develop and maintain driver-based models that reflect business performance and growth dynamics 
  • Lead monthly and quarterly variance analysis, delivering clear insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting packages to track performance across the business
  • Develop deep understanding of unit economics and influence strategies to improve them
  • Act as the primary finance partner to G&A, Supply Chain, Product, and Engineering, supporting initiatives such as headcount planning, vendor management, margins and cost optimization
  • Evaluate large vendor contracts and support negotiations with data-driven analysis
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue leaders to support go-to-market planning, capacity modeling, and unit economics
  • Proactively manage the deal review and forecasting process by working with and coaching sellers
  • Create and manage dashboards in Hubspot for promoting transparent and accountable discussions on sales pipeline
  • Partner closely with the Accounting team to ensure accurate forecasting, expense management, and alignment between actuals and plans
  • Support internal and external financial reporting packages and investor materials
  • Help establish reporting standards, financial controls, and scalable operating procedures across Finance & Accounting
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing FP&A and Revenue Operations team in the US and Europe as the company scales
  • Drive continuous improvement of FP&A and revenue operations processes, tools, and infrastructure
  • Evaluate and implement planning and analytics tools (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar)
  • Experiment with AI tools and implement for improving efficiency and insights

Qualifications and Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or related fields, with senior leadership responsibility
  • Proven experience building and scaling FP&A and revenue operations functions in high-growth, venture-backed environments. Hubspot experience is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and US GAAP, with the ability to partner deeply with Accounting
  • Experience leading company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with mastery of Excel and Google Sheets
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to senior stakeholders
  • A hands-on, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and rapid change
  • Experience in software-enabled hardware businesses and understanding of manufacturing supply chain is a plus
  • Experience in cross-border US and European businesses is a plus
  • Understanding of government vehicle through pipeline maturity (IDIQ, BAA, OTA, etc) is a plus
  • US Citizenship required
