The Senior Director of Identity Access Management (IAM) & Identity Security is responsible for establishing and driving the enterprise-wide strategy for identity security and data protection. The Senior Director of IAM & Identity Security oversees a multi-disciplinary organization spanning strategy, architecture, engineering, and operations to deliver measurable improvements in risk posture and control maturity. The Senior Director of IAM & Identity Security emphasizes strategic leadership, cross-functional alignment, transformational problem solving, and executive influence. A strong technical foundation is required to provide direction and evaluate approaches; however, the primary focus is on organizational leadership, strategic clarity, and enterprise adoption of secure-by-design practices across identity and data domains. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise strategy for Data & Identity Security, aligned to business priorities and Cyber Architecture objectives.
  • Translate long-term strategic direction into actionable multi-year roadmaps across identity lifecycle, privileged access, machine/AI identity, data governance, classification, DLP, and secrets management.
  • Provide executive-level guidance and influence, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, cloud, network, architecture, and enterprise technology.
  • Drive cross-team adoption of identity and data protection patterns, standards, and controls at scale.
  • Oversee the execution of the program portfolio with a focus on measurable risk reduction, automation, and operational excellence.
  • Build and lead a high-performing organization.
  • Identify and remove organizational blockers, enabling teams to execute and with clarity of ownership.
  • Define and maintain KPIs that measure program effectiveness, control coverage, and service maturity.
  • Partner with Legal, Audit, Compliance, and Enterprise Risk to ensure alignment to global regulatory and industry frameworks.
  • Maintain a practical understanding of modern identity architectures, data protection approaches, cloud-native engineering, and Zero Trust principles to provide directional oversight.
  • Skills and/or Certifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformation across complex technical environments.
  • Strong strategic problem-solving capabilities and an ability to drive enterprise-wide outcomes.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and communicate complex topics clearly.
  • Strong understanding of identity and data security concepts sufficient to guide technical teams
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience partnering across cloud engineering, product teams, and infrastructure operations.
