Senior Digital Asset Analyst

Summary 

This role provides critical support to MARA by enhancing market coverage, improving analytical and reporting processes, and contributing to a robust yet balanced hedging strategy. The successful candidate will focus on risk management and yield optimization while helping shape MARA’s treasury and financial strategy. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with MARA’s growth trajectory. 
  • Forecast and analyze economic trends and their impact on BTC treasury performance. 
  • Identify and evaluate new product areas and market expansion opportunities. 
  • Lead and refine financial planning and budgeting processes to support scaling initiatives. 
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with trading counterparts (e.g., Galaxy Digital, FalconX, and others). 
  • Oversee and maintain MARA’s custodial relationships, ensuring compliance and efficiency. 
  • Provide strategic insights to the VP of Digital Asset Management and C-Suite on competitor activity and industry trends. 
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop comprehensive reporting dashboards. 
  • Draft and maintain MARA’s hedging policy and internal controls to mitigate risk and optimize returns. 
  • Stay ahead of industry innovations and assess their relevance to MARA’s financial strategy. 
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Investor Relations teams on derivative execution and related financial strategies. 
  • Support internal discussions on BTC price outlook, providing data-driven insights to inform organizational forecasts and financial models. 

Qualifications 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA/Master’s degree preferred). 
  • Proven expertise in treasury management, financial modeling, and forecasting. 
  • Experience in crypto mining services or related financial markets is a plus. 

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, trade execution, and risk management. 
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a remote, globally distributed team. 
  • Familiarity with electrical theory, including 3-phase wiring and medium/high voltage systems, is a plus.
