Senior DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will help grow, improve, and maintain the infrastructure and automation underlying our existing services, as well as shape our future by developing new infrastructure capabilities for WASSHA. This particular role will have a heavy focus on setting up, maintaining, and supporting the port of our existing, legacy services, to a new Kubernetes cluster located in a newly created organization account.

You Would Be Interested In the Role If You

• Believe in shipping high quality infrastructure that is readable, testable, maintainable, and continuously integrated via small, safe deployments.
• Want to take on the challenge of providing infrastructure configured with Terraform for our teams to run their services on.
• Want to create Terraform modules and standardised processes configured via code for everything ranging from CICD to project setup and repository creation.
• Want to own and operate a multi-account organization in AWS, with workloads running on EKS.

• Believe in following best practises such as knowledge sharing and data driven decision-making.

• 7+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer, and preferably a master's degree in computer science or a relevant field.
• General familiarity with serving and configuring RDS and other database technologies.
• Working understanding of SRE related topics and their practical application.
• “You build it, you run it” attitude: experience managing services end-to-end, from developing to deploying to monitoring and incident support.
• Passion for working in an agile, cross-functional team, iterating quickly during the product development cycle. Furthermore, the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering peers.
• Desire to have a positive impact on our users by continuous improvement and optimisation.
• Familiarity with AWS, containers, Kubernetes, Bazel and Terraform is a must.

• Japanese, we are a Japanese company, and a lot of our knowledge base is still written in Japanese.
