Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote - India)

In this role, you will lead and optimize DevOps practices, focusing on CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes integrations, and enterprise-grade deployment automation. You will shape the strategy for source control, branching workflows, and Git platform migrations while ensuring high reliability and operational efficiency. The position involves working closely with development, security, and IT teams to implement best practices, improve deployment speed, and maintain robust observability across cloud environments. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in DevOps tooling, infrastructure as code, and site reliability engineering (SRE). You will have the opportunity to influence the DevOps culture, optimize processes, and deliver scalable, automated solutions that support enterprise-level clients. Accountabilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and other open-source/cloud-native tools.
• Design and enforce source control and branching strategies, including Gitflow, trunk-based development, merge requests, and protected branches.
• Lead migrations between Git platforms, ensuring data integrity, minimal workflow disruption, and compliance.
• Deploy applications to containerized environments, integrating automated testing, quality checks, and monitoring.
• Design and manage Kubernetes orchestration, including Helm charts, deployments, namespaces, RBAC, and cluster lifecycle.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, or similar tools to ensure reproducible, scalable deployments.
• Collaborate with SRE teams to implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices, ensuring reliability and SLA compliance.
• Work cross-functionally to optimize automation, cost-efficiency, and compliance while documenting processes and delivering team training.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in DevOps roles, including 4+ years with GitLab and/or GitHub.
• Proven experience in GitLab to GitHub migrations, branching strategy design, and CI/CD pipeline architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE) and Helm chart management.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform and cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized/cloud-native applications.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, site reliability engineering (SRE) practices, and observability tools.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across multiple teams.
• Demonstrated ability to document processes, runbooks, and workflows.

Preferred:

• Exposure to automated testing frameworks, SonarQube, Appium, or related CI/CD enhancements.
• Prior experience in enterprise-scale deployment projects and large-scale cloud infrastructure.
