Senior DevOps Engineer

At IT Labs, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and drive automation, scalability, and efficiency across our infrastructure. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing CI/CD pipelines, leveraging cloud technologies, and implementing infrastructure as code (IaC). You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and secure software delivery. You will develop and share your knowledge within an Agile environment, identify and experiment with various DevOps tools relevant to our business, and promote automation best practices across Engineering. Additionally, you will support security best practices, drive operational excellence, and help define and maintain scalable infrastructure frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and infrastructure management.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (i.e. AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
• Enhance security practices, including access management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance enforcement.
• Develop and maintain observability tools (monitoring, logging, alerting) using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure a smooth software delivery process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and fast recovery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Strong scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, Go, or similar).
• Familiarity with observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

We’ll also appreciate if you have:

• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Exposure to GitOps workflows and tools (Flux, ArgoCD).
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and scaling.
• Certification in AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes is a plus.
