About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Kubernetes Engineer to help design, build, and operate our on‑premises and hybrid Kubernetes platform. This role is part of the Platform Engineering and Infrastructure Reliability teams and focuses on running Kubernetes at scale in bare‑metal and integrated environments.

You will work extensively on automation, observability, performance tuning, and security to ensure our platform is resilient, maintainable, and ready for mission‑critical workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate enterprise‑scale on‑premises Kubernetes clusters.
• Automate cluster lifecycle and application delivery using Terraform, Helm, and GitOps tooling.
• Tune Kubernetes clusters for performance on bare‑metal hardware (CPU, memory, networking, storage).
• Implement Kubernetes security best practices including RBAC, Pod Security, and Network Policies.
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging stacks.
• Participate in incident response, postmortems, and continuous reliability improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience running Kubernetes on‑premises in production.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and container runtimes.
• Experience with automation and GitOps tooling such as Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, or similar.
• Familiarity with observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK stacks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize Kubernetes clusters at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Kubernetes with OpenStack.
• Exposure to Rancher and related add‑ons (Fleet, Longhorn, CIS Scanning).
• Understanding of compliance‑driven environments (PCI, SOC2, FedRAMP).
• Certifications such as CKA, CKS, or equivalent.
