Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native platforms. The role combines infrastructure engineering, CI/CD automation, container orchestration, observability, and security-by-design in regulated and mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain cloud and server infrastructure
• Develop, optimize, and operate CI/CD and GitOps pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD)
• Implement and manage container platforms using Docker and Kubernetes
• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions
• Apply security hardening, IAM, secrets management, and Zero Trust principles
• Support confidential computing and secure microservices (TEE/VAU, SCONE, Scontain)
• Integrate and manage HSMs and key management systems
• Perform incident management, troubleshooting, and cost optimization
Compact Technical Stack
• Containers & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
• CI/CD & GitOps: GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD
• Observability & Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, Elastic Stack, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger
• Databases & Middleware: PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Nginx
• Security & Networking: IAM, Zero Trust, VPN, system and network hardening
• OS & Performance: Linux, Garden Linux, Apache JMeter
Required Qualifications
• Several years of experience as a Senior DevOps / Platform / SRE Engineer
• Strong Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud security expertise
• Experience with observability, incident response, and automation
• Solid Linux system administration skills
• Strong communication skills in English
Domain Knowledge (Nice to Have)
• gematik, German e-Health ecosystem
• Sek-IDP specifications and identity flows
• BARMER and AOK integration experience
• Confidential Computing & HSM: TEE/VAU, SCONE, Scontain, Utimaco & Thales HSMs
