Why this role matters

We’re looking for an experienced developer marketing leader to continue to drive revenue growth for our Communications APIs, including through self-service use, by marketing to and engaging software developers and software communities and channels. This includes working with our Developer Relations team to drive developers from sign-up to real API usage, in addition to our product and technical teams.

Your key responsibilities

• Define and execute go-to-market plans to developers for our whole network-powered communications API product line, collaborating closely with marketing, product and sales functions across Vonage, and managing marketing project plans and schedules.
• Maintain a strong pulse on competitive activity, market shifts, and technology trends to help steer go-to-market strategy, particularly analyzing the developer-targeted marketing of our key CPaaS competitors.
• Work closely with sales, product, and product marketing teams to craft value propositions, create developer enablement assets, and support customer acquisition.
• Own developer-targeted positioning and messaging for all our API solutions across customer segments, regions, and verticals.
• Represent Vonage and our developer experience at industry events and conferences, including preparing presentations and delivering speaking engagements.
• Create and manage content for various channels including senior leadership, website, analyst briefings, technical blogs, presentations, webinars, and developer events and channels.

What you'll bring

Required:

• 4+ years of software technical experience, either as a developer or selling software tools to developers, including technical understanding of APIs for developers and how they are used to build applications.
• 4+ years of software product marketing experience, particularly with cloud software such as SaaS applications or CPaaS API platforms or IaaS software platforms or developer IDEs.
• A bachelor's or higher degree in business and marketing, with a level of technology training in software development and computer science.
• Fluent in English with strong presentation and writing skills
• Proven organizational and time management skills, with ability to work across globally dispersed teams, and comfortably interact with all business  levels and functions

Experience we consider a plus:

• Experience with cloud API products and real-time communications services
• Experience with Microsoft 365/Office suite and Google Workspace suite
• Familiarity with analytics tools like Salesforce, Tableau, 6Sense, or Gong
• A strong technical background in computer science or engineering
