The Challenge

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team at OneTrust in the capacity of Infrastructure Automation. In this role, you will be a key player in designing, building, and managing our scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure platform through automation. You will specialize in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, using tools like Terraform, and leverage robust CI/CD pipelines to handle the automation, rollout, and management of our cloud environments.

Your Mission

  • Design, develop, and maintain reusable, and reliable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and configurations using Terraform

  • Automate the provisioning, configuration, and deployment of cloud infrastructure

  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, specifically with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, to automate the validation, testing, and deployment of infrastructure changes

  • Ensure the security and compliance of the infrastructure by implementing and enforcing security best practices

  • Perform and automate system administration services including installation, configuration, maintenance, and disaster recovery

  • Identify emergent issues that indicate scalability and reliability problems, working with development and operations teams to help drive solutions

  • Collaborate with different functional groups to identify gaps, prioritize, and resolve issues 

  • Champion DevOps and automation best practices across the organization

  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architecture, automation processes, and best practices to communicate concepts and instructions to the broader organization

  • Able to function in a rapidly changing environment

  • Someone with good verbal and written interpersonal skills that can clearly and effectively articulate ideas and direction of projects

  • Passionate for high quality work and attention to detail

Your Experience Includes

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical or business field

  • 4+ years as Software Developer, Systems Engineer, or DevOps Engineer

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and principles, particularly Terraform

  • Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in tools like GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, with specific expertise in IaC workflows

  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go, etc.

  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

  • Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues

  • Agile development experience, with a strong grasp of iterative and collaborative workflows

  • Experience coordinating work across distributed teams, including international collaboration

Extra Awesome

  • Experience in setting up and scaling message brokers like Kafka or equivalent 

  • Experience in setting up and scaling NoSQL document databases like MongoDB or equivalent

  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack)

  • Knowledge of networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers)

  • Experience coaching development teams in adopting true DevOps methodologies.
