Senior Dental Billing Coordinator
TLDR
Act as a Dental Billing Subject Matter Expert while developing scalable standard operating procedures for the billing organization and monitoring key performance indicators.
Dental Billing & Industry Expertise
Act as the primary Dental Billing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to guide our product team in building automated tasks.
Primary point of contact for office managers and dentists to gather feedback and troubleshoot billing issues.
Deep knowledge of various PMS systems including Dentrix, Eaglesoft and OpenDental.
Stay ahead of annual ADA code changes and industry shifts in payer requirements.
Leadership & Operations
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for how practices interact with our AI platform.
Identify ways to build out the Billing Organization in a scalable way including full time and outsourced team members.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for effectiveness of billing processes.
5+ years of experience in Dental Billing Experience handling complex claims, appeals and end to end workflows
Expert-level knowledge of CDT codes and dental insurance archetypes (PPO, HMO, Medicaid).
Deep familiarity with major Practice Management Systems (PMS) such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Open Dental.
Startup Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and working closely with technical teams.
NYC-Based: Ability to work from our NYC office to collaborate with the founding team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a large DSO (Dental Support Organization) or a boutique dental billing firm.
Previous experience in a "Product Specialist" or "Implementation" role at a health-tech company.
Certification in Dental Billing (CPB) or Coding.
