We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Data Scientist specializing in Content Understanding and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our innovative team at Ziphire.hr. In this role, you will lead efforts to develop state-of-the-art NLP models that enhance our ability to understand and analyze textual data across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities

NLP Model Development: Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models focused on content understanding, sentiment analysis, text classification, and entity recognition.

Data Preprocessing: Clean, preprocess, and structure large datasets for effective model training and performance evaluation.

Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP and machine learning, incorporating new techniques and algorithms into our projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, software engineers, and other data scientists to align NLP projects with business objectives and enhance product features.

Performance Evaluation: Develop metrics to evaluate model performance and continuously improve upon existing models based on feedback and results.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of models, methodologies, and analytical findings, and present insights to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science with a focus on NLP and machine learning.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, along with libraries and frameworks for NLP (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers).
- Strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms.
- Experience with deep learning techniques applied to NLP tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and with teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms for deploying and scaling NLP models (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with data visualization tools for presenting NLP insights.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical content to non-technical audiences.
